We are like butterflies

...thanks to all who joined my performance at the 73. Ljubljana Festival at the unique former church of Teutonic knights!

We are like butterflies.... amidst holes in light! 

My sincere thanks to all who joined my immersive performance We are like butterflies, within my installation Human Butterflies @ ArtScienceSpirituality last Tuesday at the 73. Ljubljana Festival in the unique former church of Teutonic knights in the beautiful historical complex of Križanke, the place of the Ljubljana Festival!

Sinking... breathing...., I'm breathing... breathing in tone, sinking in breath....  waiting for something incredible to happen...

As described in the 73.LJUBLJANA  FESTIVAL program :“In a poetic fusion of performance, video, sound, and satellite data, Eva Petric presents a deeply immersive experience shaped for the unique space of the Krizevniska Church...

The work offers a planetary perspective—from Earth’s low orbit, as seen by satellites like Slovenia’s NEMO HD (Space.si Center of Excellence), to the shadow of human impact captured in „holes of light“.

“How does our collective human trace look like? Like a shadow, always moving, changing? How can it be heard? Can we feel it?

Petric invites us to imagine peace, to reflect on transformation, and to ask whether our shared world can move beyond imagination into reality."

My sincere thanks to Mr. Darko Brlek, long time iconic director of the Ljubljana Festival who invited me to be part of the Festival already for the third time.

My thanks as well to the rest of the Ljubljana Festival Team, especially Tea Ferjancic for all her dedicated help in organizing the event, the exceptional technical team lead by Adam Muzafirovič, with Zoran Dolšek and, Stanislav Vrbek and to my long time collaborators Mato Marincek and. Ivan Klarič Let me also thank on this occasion to  ArtEO.earth and its founder Ravi Kapur for access to all satellite Images present in the video part of my performance. And last but not least, I am grateful to Japanese-American musician Hayato Nakao for creating the wonderful music specially for my performance.

The performance culminates in the installation We Are Like Butterflies (Human Butterfly@ArtScienceSpirituality)-a meditation on change, vulnerability, and what might remain: art, science, and spirituality-floating above us like a final breath“.
