About the event
Space in the City
From orbit to Vienna's Karlsplatz: a journey through space, art, and connection

As my EARTHLING Tattoo SEAL prepares to circle the Earth aboard the Nyx capsule (launching on June 20 with SpaceX from Vandenberg SFB), I’m thrilled to continue this journey of connecting space and humanity here on Earth — just days later — at the Living Planet Symposium by ESA, and in its public programme, the Space in the City Festival, in Vienna.

You are warmly invited to the Space in the City Festival, taking place from 24–26 June at Karlsplatz, Vienna — an urban square reimagined as a dynamic open-air stage for science, art, and culture.
As part of the ArtEO presentation, my space-inspired digital artworks will be on view at Station 4, facing the Karlskirche — created using real satellite imagery and Earth observation data, where art becomes a living response to planetary observation.

Special invitation – June 24, 19:00–19:45
Join me and Italian pianist Isabella Libra for our multimedia performance titled:
Art (SPACE): The Planet’s Story Told Through Art
We present:
BREATHE IN – BREATHE OUT – BREATH
A triptych of video, classical music, and satellite imagery, interwoven in a sensitive dialogue between sound and image — between Earth and space.
BREATHE IN – BREATHE OUT – BREATH —a poetic triptych of video, music, and satellite imagery exploring the invisible threads that connect us.
Musical interpretations by Isabella Libra, featuring:
C. Debussy – Clair de Lune (Suite Bergamasque)
G. Sollima – Beri
E. Satie – Gnossienne No.1
Visuals by Eva Petrič, using Copernicus Sentinel data (2015–2021), processed by ESA, JAXA, and EUSI, provided by ArtEO.earth.
We invite your presence — and your breathThrough breath, we connect: to one another, to the planet, and to the invisible threads of empathy and presence that space can both stretch and illuminate.
Special thanks to Ravi Kapoor, director of ArtEO, for commissioning this work, and to the entire ArtEO team for making this creative space possible.
