Opening Performance
HOLES IN LIGHT
Friday, July 3, 2026 – 19:00
This new site-specific installation transforms the former church in Hirschwang into a contemplative universe woven from recycled handmade lace, plexiglass sculptures, light, sound and video.
Conceived as a poetic database of emotions, the exhibition reflects on textile memory, our interconnected existence on Earth, and the acceptance of human mortality. Throughout the exhibition, the sound installation Angel of Passion accompanies visitors like an invisible thread, while the opening performance Holes in Light extends these reflections through live action, analogue photography and satellite imagery, inviting us to consider our shared imprint on our only home.
My thanks to Maria Renhof and Walter Asmus for inviting me to present my exhibition and performance in their new culture and art centre RaxworX, and to Joachim Lothar Gartner for his curatorial advice and help, I am happy to complete this installation in time for tomorrow's opening!
