About the Event

My artworks were for the first time exhibited at this unique building in 2015, in the frame of the exhibition Frederick Kiesler - The Display of the Century. And now, just about 100 meters down from MOMA, where Frederick's Kiesler Totem for All religions is displayed, my Totem for Humanity - Tree of life is selected to highlight each year the celebration of the ending of the old year and beginning of the new year, in a way that resonates with various cultures and religions present in multicultural New York City.

"Totem for Humanity - Tree of Life" (2023), is a multi-part work made of recycled hand-made laces donated specially for this installation from the family heritage of several people as well as from lace found at flea markets around the world. The loops and twists of threads in the lace patterns illustrate that we are all connected and interdependent at planet Earth, whether we are aware of this or not: when one thread is broken, all the threads resonate. Kindly invited to come and see Totem for Humanity - Tree of Life and also add your wishes for the New Year to it!

Thanks to everyone who came last Saturday to the finissage of „Threads of Our Time“ of Artemorbida, curated by Barbara Pavan at the GALLERY SPACE AT CHELSEA MARKET at 75, 9TH AVENUE.„

For this exhibition, which was part of the textile art festival taking place at various locations throughout New York City, my artwork Sister Human 2 was selected, among artworks by Lanfranco Aceti, Elham M. Agili Angelica Bergamini Michela Cavagna, Megan Klim, Laura Mega, Federica Patera and Andrea Sbra Perego, Eva Petric, Michael Sylvan Robinson - Fiber Artist and Judy Rushin-Knopf.

I am pleased to share that my  E@motion Tapestries presented as a solo showing at the iconic Newel antiques in NYC as a part of the "Follow the Thread" exhibition in New York organized by ArteMorbida, s prolonged till November 20th.

I am honored to be a part of this unique and also very comprehensive textile art festival that spread throughout the city with a dense programme of  installations,  exhibitions, events, meetings and conferences. It was not just about presenting textile art but  also re-establishing what can be considered as textile art and what not.

Kindly invited to visit my solo presentation at the iconic antiques gallery NEWEL  where my Art E@motion tapestries are intermixed with renown and iconic antiques located at 306 East 61st 3rd Floor, New York, NY From Nov 3 - Nov 27 Hours: Monday - Friday 9:00AM - 5:00PM
