About the Event
The self-portrait belongs to the iron repertoire of motifs of the past, but also of the contemporary fine arts. Self-image is a means by which artists introduced themselves to others both before and after the invention of photography, and so it is today, through new media. The passion for self-image, once the privilege of creativity of selected individuals, has taken over, with the help of new technologies, virtually every one of us. Our image is transmitted from smartphones to social networks with the help of self-timer, all the while witnessing a real bulimia of staged self-images.
